Practicing what I Preach.

So you all have heard me talk about how valuable it is to form your army and accept help. Well, I just HAD to share with you a great example of how I am practicing what I preach...

Forming your army means surrounding yourself with people who love and support you. And it also means being of service to them - whether they are employees, vendors, relatives, or friends. In my relationship with my vendors, I want to know how I can refer them more business, who is a good client, and how I can help them grow their business.

Accepting help is just as valuable as giving the help. It's taken me a long time to realize how important it is to accept the help, and although I have gotten much better at it, I still need to work a bit harder on this one, as most of us do...

So here's the story...

I reached out to a vendor turned friend, Reizel Larrea-Alvarez of iZoom Video Productions, to produce a promo video for me. I am being hired for speaking engagements and wanted a video that captured me in action at events and also demonstrated my passion for the topic. I have been working with Reizel for years on videos for my clients and know firsthand the amazing work she does.

Well, the Emmy award-winning producer not only created an amazing video for me....she also did it for FREE! She asked me to please allow her the honor of producing my video. I had given her so much business in the last few years, it would be an amazing feeling for her to be able to do this for me as I grow Luly B, Inc. It would be her way of "giving back" but more importantly, supporting me in what I know is my life vocation.

So there you have it....a wonderful example of the value of forming a strong army of folks who love and support you. And, learning to have the grace to accept the help and offers from that army...never denying them the opportunity to be of service to you.

So do you want to see the new promo? I am very, very excited to share it with you. Not only does it show Luly B's passion for the subject, but it also serves as a great reminder of some of my most important tips for mompreneurs like you!
