It's in print!
The simple story about my journey as a mompreneur. The one I dedicated myself to writing and publishing in less than 3 months.
The one that hit Amazon best-seller status within 48 hours of its release.
It's in print now! That's right. Balance is Bull$h!t is now available in paperback!
I share this with you not only because I am totally stoked, but also because I hope you will feel inspired to do something that you want to do but might be afraid to do...
I have to tell you, I had so many hesitations about writing a book and promoting it through Amazon. I was worried about what people would think, if it would really resonate, and if I would really make a difference in the lives of women.
And you know what I realized? I was over-analyzing. I had to stop waiting for the "perfect" moment and get my story out there. I had to be open, genuine, and authentic. I had to be a good entrepreneur and take the risk. And, I also thought, "What's the worst that can happen?"
And just like I believe there is no such thing as balance, I also believe "perfect" doesn't exist (although that one is a bit harder for me still!)
In the 2 months since the book has been out, not only has it hit Amazon best-seller status, but I have also received over a dozen 5-star reviews and dozens of calls and emails about how this book has resonated with moms all around the country. It has helped me promote the Luly B, Inc. brand, given me an opportunity to use as a giveaway, and brought me several radio, podcast and TV interviews as well as speaking engagements about the subject.
You see what a little risk can do for you?
I could have spent a year writing the book. I could have turned it into a self-help book. I could have had it professionally edited and written in a more formal way. But I didn't want any of that. I wanted a simple book with my story published as soon as possible so I can start making a difference as soon as possible.
And that's exactly what has happened!
So what is it in your life that you want to do, but hesitate? Go for it. Take charge, do your due diligence, and just do it. I promise, you won't regret it!
